Kristine,
The first one - too orange initially, but after you applied the paint, it works better for me.

The second one - I love the pink, and I like it better in the first shot, BEFORE you put the paint on it. Don't care for the brown. And I would have preferred the paint more in the middle, and not covering so much of the right side of the painting. Might have been better with a different color? Or maybe it just needs the paint in the middle, regardless of color.

I will say that I LOVE the 1st shot of the pink, before you have gone any further with it.

Question: Do you have the names of the paintings in mind before you begin, or do they come to you after you have finished the work? They are such interesting names; I always wonder where they come from.

Love your work. And your new artist's statement reads just fine. I think you've done a good job of explaining about the whole web 2.0 concept.

Thank you so much for your comments Princess. I really appreciate any feedback I can get, and find that blogging my art is a great way to get it.
My titles normally come after I finish, and they come from many different places. Lately, I have taken names from poems that I love, or literature; Jane Austen, the movie 'Before Sunrise,' EE Cummings poems, and so forth. Also what I am feeling about the world, my art, myself, my friends etc. I try to give my art inspiring names, that will help them along further in the experience of looking at my art, which I really hope is a fulfilling, bright, passionate experience.
Yea, the first one was a little two orange at first. But I'm trying to push myself out of the box I have put myself in, to experiment and explore different colors. I have my favorites, but I don't want to make every painting with those colors...LOL The pink one, I didn't want to overdo with color. In RL it looks different and the color is balanced with the different shapes and pours of color etc. The range is black grays, whites and pinks..so no brown. I actually need to take better pictures of them, but wanted to get feedback, before I start on more. Thank you so much..Have a great day :)
